The Business Operations Committee oversees the Union’s business operations, facilities, and services, including the Rensselaer Collegiate Store and Sodexo food services. The committee gathers data on current operations and seeks student opinion for new ideas within the Union. The committee also focuses on evaluating potential new business opportunities, vendors, potential future renovations, and other facilities-related matters for the Union.
I move that the Rensselaer Union Executive Board reallocate $2003.16 from Facilities Reserves for the purchase of 1 automated external defibrillator at a unit price of $1627 each, 1 AED wall cabinet at a unit price of $349 each, 1 facility sticker at a unit price of $4.16 each, and 1 AED sign at a unit price of $23 each. This AED will be placed in the Union lobby.
I move that the Rensselaer Union Executive Board welcomes Dr. Wendy Neifeld Wheeler, Project Director for the Office of Greek Life Commons to Rensselaer, and temporarily allocate Rensselaer Union Admin Office 3756 to Dr. Wheeler during the Spring 2020 Semester at Rensselaer in order to ensure her accessibility for all students.
I move that the Rensselaer Union Executive Board approve the purchase & installation of a water bottle filling station in the Mueller Center for $1600 from FY20 Facilities Reserves.
