Confirmation of Jayshon Adams as Deputy Grand Marshal

WHEREAS the first full implementation of The Arch will begin on May 20, 2019;

WHEREAS the current Vice Grand Marshal will be participating in The Arch and is scheduled to take a semester away during the fall term;

WHEREAS the Vice Grand Marshal has the responsibility of monitoring committees, monitoring petitions, and filling in for the Grand Marshal when needed;

WHEREAS, while a Vice Grand Marshal could still be able to fulfill their duties while away from campus for The Arch, it would prove helpful to have a person who is physically present on campus to support the Grand Marshal and the Vice Grand Marshal;

WHEREAS the Grand Marshal has created the position of Second Vice Grand Marshal to accommodate for the implementation of The Arch and to assist the Vice Grand Marshal and Grand Marshal while the Vice Grand Marshal is away from the Rensselaer campus.

The Rensselaer Union 50th Student Senate hereby RESOLVES:

1. To approve the Grand Marshal’s appointment of Jayshon Adams as Deputy Grand Marshal, effective immediately.
