Usman Riaz Graduate Senator, Graduate Representative

I am currently a third year PhD student majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a research focus in Engineering Computation and Finite Elements Methods. This is my first time in the Student Senate. Before joining Student Senate, I worked with Pakistani Student Association (PakSA) as President for the year 2020-21. My goal for next year as a graduate senator is to connect to as many graduate students as I can and learn what are some of the issues that really matter to them and what are the changes/improvements they want to see at campus. I personally feel that socially International graduate students community is isolated from the rest of student body at campus and I particularly want to work towards this issue.
