Caitlin Kennedy

Hi! My name is Caitlin Kennedy, and I am the 130th President of the Union. I am a current junior pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. I was born and raised in Boston, MA along with my younger brother and dog. At my very first activities fair at RPI, I was introduced to student government, and the rest is history. Besides my involvement in student government, I am a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) as well as a former member of the Women’s Mentoring Program. I enjoy going to the gym, watching Netflix, and spending time with friends.

Prior to becoming President of the Union, I served as the Club Operations Committee Chairwoman for two years. ClubOps helps new clubs through the process of becoming Union Recognized or Affiliated. It also helps guide them through the funding application process. Through this role, I had the privilege of becoming very familiar with all of the over 200 amazing clubs that call the Union home.

During my time as PU, I hope to be able to work with these clubs and all students to ensure they find a home away from home within our Union. I want to improve the Union study spaces to ensure it is meeting the needs of RPI students. Above all, my goal is to represent the students to the best of my ability, in support of our common purpose of improving our campus, and our Union, for the benefit of our peers.
