Sagar Bhatt Graduate Council Representative

I am a fourth year PhD student in the Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering Department. I work in computational solid mechanics with Prof. Antoinette Maniatty. Our research focuses modeling material deformation and evolution based on smaller scale phenomena. I am working on simulating the microstructure evolution under thermomechanical loading.

I have been part of the Graduate Council since 2019 in the capacity of Graduate Representative, where I served as the Graduate Council representative to Executive Board from 2019-20. Currently, I am serving as the Vice President of the Graduate Council for the year 2020-21.

When I am not working on my research or Graduate Council work, I am generally reading a book, painting or out and about in the wilderness.
