Men's Club Soccer Probationary Status

January 30, 2020 | Executive Board | Action #2

I move that the Rensselaer Union Executive Board place Men’s Club Soccer on probation for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2020, as a result of their recent violations of the Rensselaer Union Guidelines and Procedures. The club’s probation will end no sooner than July 1, 2020, the start of Fiscal Year 2021, and will be contingent upon a recommendation from Men’s Club Soccer’s SARP and Executive Board Representative. Upon approval, the terms of their probation will be as follows:

1) The Men’s Club Soccer Fiscal Year 2020 budget will be frozen indefinitely,    with no money permitted to be spent out of or additional subsidy to be allocated into the budget;

2) The club, under the name “Men’s Club Soccer” or “RPI Men’s Club Soccer” may not hold programming, practices, or events nor may they rent facility space (rooms, field space, etc.) for the purpose of the club; and

3) The club officers will meet at least once a month with their Executive Board Representative and SARP and must complete an in-person financial and travel workshop with the Rensselaer Union Business Administrator.
